Friday 2nd June saw The University of Lincoln Student’s Union partner with Student Enterprise to run a knowledge exchange and networking event entitled, Connect, Create, Succeed.
The event was focussed around bridging the gap between seasoned professionals and students, and exchanging insights into how you can go about navigating the working world, with the discussion anchored by a panel of University of Lincoln graduates.
Our panellists for the event were; Bahar Tömek (Careers & Employability Advisor, University of Lincoln & Founder, WE Are The Change), Jesulayomi Ajayi (Software Developer, E-Commerce, NEXT), Michel Nkansah (Programme Coordinator, LawtechUK) & Lin Son (Director, UK-China Link Ltd) with Reece Leggett (Student Enterprise Manager) acting as chair.
Speaking after the event, Rita Ugi, VP International, Student’s Union commented: “The opportunity for current students to engage in conversation with alumni was invaluable, as it created a unique platform for life experiences, challenges, and success stories to be shared that will be a pivotal support to international students as an instrumental guidance towards their professional career. I couldn’t have been happier for the students who attended and everyone who made the event a success”.
Reece Leggett, Student Enterprise Manager added: “We were delighted to be a partner with the Student Union and VP International, Rita, to lead a panel discussion with some of our international graduates. The panel provided a valuable wealth of advice, guidance and experiences which will I’m sure be invaluable as our students plan their next steps post study. I’m also pleased to continue our close collaborative relationship with the Student Union and look forward to future events.”
The Student Enterprise Team would like to thank the Student’s Union, particularly Rita for her hard work in organising the event.
